On June 6, 2007 DFO Pacific released the summer Coho salmon retention limits for much of the West Coast of Vancouver Island. If you’re going to be fishing on the west side then I highly recommend giving this a close look. If you are boarded or checked by a DFO officer then you can expect some detailed questions on where the Coho in your cooler came from and whether they are wild or hatchery fish.

Not sure which areas apply to you? Check out the fancy colored map.

Make sure to check the regs again before you go as they have a habit of changing without any notice!
