Campbell River, BC
Welcome to a new way to fish Campbell River, BC!
About Campbell River
Campbell River is known as the Salmon Capital of the World and enjoys a long history as one of the premier Salmon fisheries on Vancouver Island. The Chinook Salmon fishery runs year round, but the big Tyees (30+ pounds) are typically caught in July through September. Coho are targetted in June to September while Sockeye and Pinks arrive in mid-July through August. October is Chum time and is a great fishery to target when things are slowing down on the rest of the island.
How it works
We are a “self towing” operation. Our boats live on trailers and can be taken virtually anywhere on Vancouver Island from our base in Port Alberni. If you have a suitable SUV or pickup truck (with a class III or IV hitch) then you can easily pickup one of our boats from our Port Alberni location and tow it to Campbell River.
The boats:

We rent out the kind of salmon fishing boats that WE want to fish from. These are really nice boats that are built to handle the west coast of Vancouver Island. Our boats are fully equipped with the latest engines and electronics to make your fishing vacation a pleasure. Check out our growing rental fleet of fishing boats.
Our ideal clients
Our ideal clients are moderately experienced Salmon fishermen who don’t own a boat, don’t want to hire a fishing guide or fishing charter operation, and want to fish Campbell River or anywhere else on Vancouver Island. Our clients would rather run the boat and call the shots. In other words, our ideal clients are a lot like us: Guys that love fishing and boats but can’t justify the expenses or hassles associated with owning a “west coast capable” fishing boat.
The cost:
We believe that our rental rates represent excellent value for your fishing dollar. We are significantly less expensive that guided fishing charters and MUCH less expensive than owning your own boat! Check out our very reasonable rental rates.
