Fishing season is NOT over!
September is a great time to fish Bamfield, Ucluelet, and Barkley Sound. The August crowds have gone home, there are still lots of fish in the water, the fog us gone, and the weather is mild.
Take into account the shoulder season rates and it makes for a very compelling fishing experience.
We just returned from 3 days in Ucluelet and had a great time fighting chinook and coho salmon up to 20 pounds. The weather was warm and clear with calm seas. Beautiful!
